The history of the Kennedy Awards...
...told by the producer, George Stevens, in a Fox News Broadcast. Everything started 32 years ago when President Kennedy wanted to connect power with poetry. So he created these awards in order for the nation to pay tribute to its greatest performing artists. There is only one rule. The honorees and the President must attend. It's pretty touching seeing all those great people sitting, crying sometimes and watching their friends or fans, current stars, on stage, thanking them for commiting their lives to art.
