Promoting Tosca @Staatsoper Vienna

Happy for the photo I received on email, the one below. It's the Tosca announcement on one of the screens outside Staatsoper Vienna. Doesn't it look good? Poster outside, banner on the website. Peeerfect!

Tosca opens on September 5 and Angela Gheorghiu stars in four performances (September 5, 8, 11 and 15) together with Marcelo Alvarez and Zeljko Lucic. After conducting La Rondine at the Royal Opera House, Marco Armiliato will also conduct Tosca.

Tickets are available for online buying on the website of Staatsoper Vienna

SOLD OUT

The recital at La Scala on October 6 is now sold out on La Scala website. Isn't that really really great? Don't know if there are any left at the box office, but you could give it a try.

Looking forward to find out who the pianist is.
October 6 seems so far away, but time flies when at the end of the waiting there's something as beautiful as this recital.

AUDIO - Interview on NDR radio station

This short conversation was broadcast yesterday on NDR Kultur. It's in German, but you can get some of what they're saying. Mainly it's about La Rondine, singing, free time, Romania and future tour in Germany this fall.
And my, my...the supreme question... "where is home for you?" How many answers can someone invent for the same old question? I don't understand what she's saying so I could use some help from any of you.
I listened to it yesterday when it was first broadcast and there's something missing, the two songs (one in the middle of the interview and one in the end).
The first one is Muzica (I really miss listening to it live. If I remember well, the last time was in Valladolid, in 2011. There was another one in Oman in 2012 but as I wasn't there it doesn't count. Maybe, who knows..later this year...)
The second one was Pace, pace mio Dio from Verdi's La forza del destino

You can listen to the interview HERE.

PHOTOS - My Rondine #3, July 21

Did you think I'm done with doing crazy things? Oh, no. I wanted to listen, watch, cry, suffer, be happy and feel the emotions of La Rondine, the last performance of the run. So I went back to London last Sunday to see my third Rondine. To listen to her voice.. my sweet addiction..

And it was perfect! I felt like everyone did their best, receiving in the end tons of applauses. Big thank you everyone for your passion and devotion, for making me live in a beautiful world for two hours!

After the performance Angela Gheorghiu signed autographs at the ROH shop. The event was previously announced and about 400 people came. There was a two hours queue and hundreds, well deserved nice words said to her by people amazed by her performance. An outburst of love meant to reward the ardor put in each and every sound.
There are some photos from the event here

While waiting for the performance to start, during the interval and after, I took some photos. As you have already seen so many pictures from La Rondine, I thought of changing the perspective. Here you go, just to illustrate the atmosphere at the Royal Opera House. These photos (and many others - just click on the first one and the slideshow will open) in bigger size are on my other blog
